Now One for My Mum

My mother saw the last set I published, and fell in love with it.  She wanted something pink, so we chose a pink color combination and this is what came out.  I do not like to make necklaces that look so alike, but who can say no to mom?  I cannot.  She is really a wonderful mom, and deserves to be happy.

Now the Necklace for The Whole Set

Here is the necklace.  I finished it after getting up several times.  I am having back pain and I cannot sit for more that 20 min.  Imagine how bad that is for jewelry making.

Inspired by Blue, Green and Brown

Inspired by the color challenge, I thought of this beautiful pearl and silver plated bracelet.  I hope to finish the necklace today so that I can post it later on or tomorrow.

I really wanted to use a toggle clasp, but I am reticent to use another type of clasp for bracelets.  I just think they are not secure enough, and people might end up losing it, unless it is made to the exact length of the buyer's wrist.  Who knows who the person that will wear this bracelet will be.

I have said it before, I love to work with leather.  This piece found its home in Italy, quite sure it's in Milano.

This necklace has a lot of leather.  It is real leather and it was made by commission.

Mother of Pearl Leaves

This necklace is made of Rayon cord, acrylic rounds, mother of pearl leaves and squares, and gold plated findings and jumprings.

Wood Necklace in Less than 5min and for less than $5

This necklace is so easy to make and it is also a best seller.  It is a favorite necklace for the beach and I make it in less than 5 minutes.  The hardest part is getting out the materials.

I make a variation of this necklace not tyin the knot below the beig bead in the end (this makes it slide) to substitute a clasp.  This way the necklace can be adjusted to the desired lenght.

Pink and Brown Set

This Set is made from various materials.  I am not sure of the type of stone for the chips.  The pink stones have been stones given to me by friends and family.  The ones in the earrings are original stones from Brazil that have been with us since I was a child.  They are wrapped in silver.

Glass Heart

This is a simple necklace strung in faux leather.  I do not remember exactly whiich beads I used, I know all the metal beads a findings were silver plated.

Polymer Clay Bracelet

This bracelet was made of handmade polymer clay beads and delica beads.  I used the Franciscan Knots or sliding knots.

Hearts and Leather

This necklace has been with me for years.  It has travelled the world.

This is another way to use the big leather cord I showed the other day.  I cannot find this cord anymore, so I take good care of it.

I like to mix silver, gold and copper tones for fun.  They look good!

Welcome Spring (Spring Butterfly)

I am so happy that Spring is finally here. It is my favorite season.  I just love to see flowers bloom, and trees fill up with leaves.  Ohhh... It is abssolutely gorgeous.

This is a Spring butterfly necklace I want to share with you today.

Big Chain? Some Ideas...

I bought this big chain at Fire Mountain Gems.  I thought it was a great way to make modern and bold jewelry.  When I opened my order... I was not sure what to do with it.  It is a good thing that creativity finally stepped in.  Here are some ideas:

This is the simplest.  It is elegant, yet modern.  I gave it as a gift, and my friend is so happy with it.  She tells me that it is good to wear with jeans or to more formal events.

My first Josephine or Pretzel knots

This was one of my first experiments with the Pretzel knot.  Wow! It took me forever to make it right.  I bet I cannot even remember how to start anymore unless I look at my notes.  Hmmmm.... might be a god idea for a step by step tutorial, right?
